This General Privacy Policy explains the types of information Retrac Labs, LLC (Retrac Labs) may handle when you use any of our apps, websites, products, or other services (each, a Service). Actual data practices depend on the Service and the features you choose.
1. How this policy works
Read this policy together with the privacy notice for each Service you use. A Service-specific notice identifies its actual data categories, features, providers, choices, and any different or additional practices. Where a Service-specific notice differs from this general policy, that notice controls for the Service, subject to applicable law. This policy does not mean every Service collects every type of information listed below.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on the Service, we may collect information you provide, such as account and contact details, messages, content, support requests, and transaction details. We may also collect technical and usage information, such as device and browser information, IP address, app activity, approximate location inferred from IP address, diagnostics, crash reports, and analytics data. If a feature needs additional information, such as precise location, photos, audio, or contacts, the Service will explain that collection and request any permission required by law or your device settings.
We may receive information from sign-in providers, payment processors, or other services you connect, as described in the relevant Service notice. Please check that notice for the information collected by that Service and any choices available to you.
3. How we use information
We may use information to provide and personalize a Service, maintain accounts, process transactions, respond to requests, improve performance and accessibility, understand usage through analytics, protect users and our systems, prevent fraud, comply with law, and communicate about the Service. We use information for marketing or other optional purposes only where permitted by law and as described in the relevant Service notice.
4. When we share information
We may share information with vendors that help us run a Service, such as hosting, analytics, customer support, and payment providers, under appropriate protections. We may also share information when you direct us to, when a feature is designed for sharing, to protect rights or safety, for legal compliance, or in connection with a merger, financing, or transfer of a business. A Service notice will describe any additional sharing or public features. We do not treat a statement that sharing is possible as permission to share children's data where parental consent is required.
5. Cookies, analytics, and similar tools
A Service may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar tools for sign-in, preferences, security, performance, and analytics. Some Services may offer controls for nonessential tools. Check the Service's privacy notice and its settings for the tools it uses and how to manage them; browser and device settings may provide additional controls.
6. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here and in the Service notice, including to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect security. Retention periods vary by Service and data type. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, although no system is completely secure. A Service notice may give more specific retention and security information.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on the Service and where you live, you may be able to access, correct, download, or delete your information; close an account; manage permissions and communications; or object to or limit certain uses. Use the settings or contact method listed in the Service's privacy notice. We may need to verify your request, and some information may be retained where law permits or requires. We will honor applicable privacy rights.
8. Children under 13 and COPPA
Not every Retrac Labs Service allows children under 13. Check the age rules and privacy notice for the particular Service before a child uses it. If a Service permits children under 13, we will provide the notices and parental controls required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable law. Except where a legal exception applies, we will give parents direct notice and obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information online from a child under 13.
For a child-permitted Service, its own privacy notice and any direct notice to parents will explain the specific information collected from children, how it is used, whether it is shared or made public, which providers receive it, and how long it is kept. We will not require a child to provide more personal information than reasonably necessary to participate. We will use or disclose a child's information only as allowed by law and the relevant notices and permissions, including any separate parental consent required for third-party disclosures.
A parent or guardian may request to review or delete a child's personal information and may refuse further collection or use, subject to applicable law. The child-permitted Service's privacy notice will give the required procedure and operator contact details for these requests. If you believe a child used a Service that does not permit children, contact us through that Service's support channel so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.
9. International use
Information may be processed where Retrac Labs or its providers operate. When required, we use appropriate protections for transfers across borders. A Service-specific notice may give further details relevant to its users and locations.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our Services or practices change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and give any additional notice required by law. Review each Service's privacy notice as well, because its practices may change separately.
